Mirzo Ulugbek National University hosted an international online conference on the rights and interests of people with disabilities.

Professors’ scientific researches and sociological analyses in this direction were noted. The current system of education for persons with disabilities, which is currently considered outdated, has been criticized. It has been noted that the level of employment is low, there are not enough conditions for meaningful recreation.

Participants forwarded their proposals to address the issues. It is necessary to create equal conditions for realization of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of persons with disabilities and inevitability of responsibility for their violation. Introduction of modern, transparent methods of medical and labor expertise in determining disability, increasing the level of medical and social services have become a requirement of the time. It is important to expand opportunities for using social and other facilities, improving wellbeing, enhancing inclusive education and employment systems, as well as active participation in society.
