On November 14, the IX International Festival of Architectural, Construction and Design Schools of Eurasia kicked off in Tashkent.

The festival, organized by the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning of the Republic of Turkey and the Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering, is attended by almost 80 representatives from over 20 countries, including from Uzbekistan, Turkey, China, Russia and Kazakhstan.

The festival was first organized in 2009. Over the past period, nearly 2 thousand students took part in this festival with their works.

Rector of Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering R. Khakimov, President of the Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering A. Kusainov addressed the opening ceremony of the IX International Festival of Architectural, Construction and Design Schools of Eurasia.

The purpose of the event is to further develop cooperation between architectural, construction and design schools, support graduate projects in this direction, create opportunities for demonstrating their potential, strengthening the mutual exchange of experience between students of higher education.

More than 550 students submitted diploma projects for the competition of qualifying works of graduates of higher education institutions of Eurasia in the direction of architecture and construction, design, geodesy, cartography and building materials.

The creative works of winners will be recommended for implementation by design institutes and representatives of the private sector.

Within the framework of the festival, an excursion to Tashkent City complex erected in the center of the capital was organized for representatives of the delegation led by Deputy Minister of Environment and Urban Planning of the Republic of Turkey.
