The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a conference on “Personnel policy in conditions of reforming public services system: Uzbekistan’s experience and foreign practice”.

The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a conference on “Personnel policy in conditions of reforming public services system: Uzbekistan’s experience and foreign practice”.

The event was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, scientific and analytical circles, a number of foreign organizations and experts. It was organized jointly with the UNDP, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan, Konrad Adenauer Foundation Representative Office.

Participants exchanged views on such important issues as improvement of legislation in public services, prospects for introduction of modern management methods, use of advanced technologies in training of professional corps of civil servants, summarizing the results of scientific activities on personnel policy.

Reports on integration and exchange of information between the Unified Information System of the State Civil Service and the Unified National Labor System, the current state and further improvement of legal framework of public services system were heard and best practices in this direction were studied at the plenary session.

Legal regulation of public services system, use of modern management methods, civil servants’ training, introduction of continuous education concept, formation of professional competence of personnel were discussed at the conference.

Appropriate recommendations were adopted following the conference on the basis of foreign practice to further improve public services system and state personnel policy in Uzbekistan.
