On October 21, Tashkent hosted a festive event dedicated to the thirtieth anniversary of giving the Uzbek language the status of the state language.

The event was attended by senators, deputies, members of the government, state and public figures, representatives of diplomatic corps, creative intelligentsia, scientists and youth.

The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Head of the state congratulated the participants and all the people of the country on this significant date and delivered a speech on development and prospects of the Uzbek language.

The President noted the need for further increasing the authority of the state language in the life of the country and society, improving the Law “On the State Language” based on today’s requirements, focused on urgent tasks in this area.

Following the event, a concert program was presented with participation of masters of art, during which songs dedicated to the homeland, people and native language were performed.
