IAEA approves four national projects for implementation in Uzbekistan
The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) within the framework of the Technical Cooperation Program approved four national projects for implementation in 2020-2021 in Uzbekistan worth more than 1 million euros.
The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) within the framework of the Technical Cooperation Program approved four national projects for implementation in 2020-2021 in Uzbekistan worth more than 1 million euros.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria, the projects are aimed at building up technical capacity and human resources, developing nuclear infrastructure, strengthening the nuclear and radiation safety of facilities for the peaceful use of nuclear energy in Uzbekistan.
The project executors from the Uzbek side are Uzatom Agency, the State Committee for Industrial Safety, the Institute of Nuclear Physics, the National University of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State University, as well as Tashkent City Oncology Center.
