State Academic Grand Theater of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi hosted an awarding ceremony of the republican competition “Attention of Trade Unions to Mentors”, held by Uzbekistan Trade Unions Federation.

The event was attended by teachers with extensive experience, young teachers, chairmen and representatives of primary trade union organizations of education institutions.

At the ceremony dedicated to Teachers and Mentors Day, vouchers to the sanatoriums of the trade union system were presented to a group of teachers and mentors who have worked for many years in the educational system and have achieved high results in their activity. Then the best in nominations “Active Young Teacher”, “Active Worker in Innovative Activities” and “Talented Teacher” were selected among the teachers who work effectively in higher and public institutions, pre-school and special education, who make a significant contribution to the harmonious upbringing of youth and development of trade union work. They were given laptops.

At the event, a group of mentors, serving as an example in the education system, for their achievements, active participation in the work of trade unions, worthy contribution to the protection of socio-economic interests, labor rights of workers in the education system on the basis of collective agreements, was awarded the Trade Unions Federation’s sign “Ehtirom Nishoni” (Badge of Honor).

Following the event, a concert was held with participation of masters of art and creative youth.
