International scientific-practical conference on “Principles of administrative procedures and administrative legal proceedings” was held at Tashkent State University of Law.

The conference was organized by Tashkent State University of Law in cooperation with the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), Nagoya University (Japan), Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI).

It was attended by representatives of the judicial and legal system of our country, state governing bodies and administration, national institutions on human rights, NGOs, as well as specialists from more than 20 countries, such as Austria, China, Germany, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkmenistan.

At the conference, rector of Tashkent State University of Law E.Kanyazov and others noted that large-scale reforms are being implemented in our country aimed at improving state and public construction, ensuring the rule of law, as well as strengthening protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms, development of economic sectors and social spheres.

Clear measures on improvement of legislation, streamlining administrative legal relations, improving activities of state bodies and organizations are being gradually developed and adopted in our country. An important guide to action in this direction is the Decree of the President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On approval of the Concept of administrative reform in the Republic of Uzbekistan” of September 8, 2017.

It was noted that effective implementation of the Concept of administrative reform in Uzbekistan serves to increase the responsibility of employees of the state bodies before people. Introduction of modern information technologies in the development, adoption and execution of administrative documents makes it possible to ensure qualitative provision of public services, remove administrative barriers and restrictions.

At the conference, recommendations aimed at further improving the legislative framework of administrative procedures and administrative legal proceedings, expansion of international cooperation in this sphere were adopted.
