Cooperation prospects in trade-economy, investment and tourism

The Malaysian side was informed about transformations in Uzbekistan’s economy, improvement of business environment, open investment policy, economic potential, rich raw material base for possibility of producing products with high added value and reducing the tax burden for industrial enterprises.
Mukhriz Mahathir highly appreciated the dynamic growth of macroeconomic indicators of the country, favorable conditions for attracting foreign investment, active support of small and medium-sized business by the government, which plays a key role in raising the country's economy.
The parties noted the intensification of multifaceted cooperation in trade-economic, investment and tourism spheres, as well as the need for further attracting leading Malaysian enterprises, including those from Kedah state, for implementation of joint projects in petrochemical, electrical, energy industries on the basis of interregional cooperation with Uzbekistan’s regions.
