A Memorandum on establishment of twinning relations between the city of Kuvasay (Fergana region) and the city of Rūjiena (Latvia) took place.

On November 11, 2019, a Memorandum on establishment of twinning relations between the city of Kuvasay (Fergana region) and the city of Rūjiena (Latvia) took place. The document provides for development of interregional partnership in education, culture, entrepreneurship and sports.

The event was held within the framework of a meeting between the Khokim of Fergana’s Kuvasay Adham Ziyavitdinov and the delegation from the municipality of Rūjiena led by Mayor Guntis Gladkins, in Uzbekistan.

Prospects for deepening people-to-people ties, including by increasing regional cooperation in tourism, educational exchanges, production and technological cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
