China hosts CICA Non-Governmental Forum

A roundtable discussion on the role of media in building a common future of Asian community was held within the framework of the third Non-Governmental Forum of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), in Chongqing city, China.
The event was attended by representatives of leading news agencies, newspapers and magazines of CICA member states.
The event was divided into two thematic parts, in each of which reports and presentations were presented, revealing the important problems facing modern media in the Asian region.
Well-known news agencies such as Xinhua and TASS presented their experience in developing and strengthening cooperation between the media of different countries.
New technologies for distributing the content on the Internet were considered, the capabilities of one of the world’s leading social networks for Kuaishou short videos, based on an innovative algorithm, were presented. More than 200 million active users visit this service daily. The unique technology of the social network allows equalizing all its users and earning money by posting a popular video.
Following the roundtable discussion, the results of all speeches and presentations were summed up, as well as proposals of journalists were studied in detail.
