Special Co-ordinator and leader of the OSCE short-term observer mission George Tsereteli visits Uzbekistan to observe the elections to be held on December 22.

On December 20, a meeting was held at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the delegation led by George Tsereteli.

Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva, welcoming the guests, noted that Uzbekistan had restored its membership in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which is an important step in the activities of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It was noted that for the first time, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly sent about 50 parliament representatives from almost 50 countries to observe the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
