The workshop was organized with participation of the Academic Director of the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER) of Ukraine and part-time expert of Berlin Economics consulting company and member of the German Economic Team Uzbekistan (GET Uzbekistan), member of the editorial board of VoxUkraine Veronika Movchan.

In addition to discussing the features of the general equilibrium model and the possibility of applying it to assess the impact of external shocks on the economy, the workshop participants shared their deep knowledge about the trends of the Eurasian integration. Views were exchanged to extract useful experience both from a research and from a practical point of view.
In turn, CERR experts presented their assessments based on alternative models for assessing the consequences of Uzbekistan’s accession to the EAEU.
Proposals were made to expand and supplement the model for Uzbekistan by sectors of the economy.
Following the workshop, an agreement was reached on establishing further close cooperation between the parties.
