Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hamid Nayyerabadi.

On November 19, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hamid Nayyerabadi.

Issues of further deepening trade-economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran were discussed at the meeting. In particular, measures for increasing the volume and expanding the range of mutual trade, participation of Iranian companies in promising projects in Uzbekistan were considered.

Special attention was also paid to intensification of cooperation in transport-communication areas, opening of direct flights between Tashkent and Tehran.

The parties also discussed the issues of conducting Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran in December 2019, during which it is planned to hold a business forum, an exhibition and B2B meetings.
