The first Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ahadbek Khaydarov delivered a welcoming speech.

Speeches were also delivered by UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Ms. Helena Fraser, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Uzbekistan Mr. Christopher Allan.

According to the Development Strategy Center, presentation of the publication “Budget for Citizens 2018” was made by Ismonjon Mamadjanov, Head of the Methodology of Treasury Budgeting, Internal Audit and Financial Control of the Ministry of Finance.

“Budget for Citizens 2018” is a simple and convenient tool for obtaining information on how the funds transferred by a citizen to the state budget are used and what results they bring to a particular person and society as a whole.

Preparation of the Budget for Citizens – a simplified version of a budget document that uses informal (non-technical) language to facilitate understanding of the budget for the wide audience. This document discloses information on budget revenues, its priorities, financing of socially significant activities and represents achieved goals in a form, which is accessible to citizens with explanations and comments.
