Anti-corruption: Experience of Uzbekistan and Germany
At the roundtable discussion held on September 27 in Tashkent, organized by the National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, deputies, representatives of state authorities, law enforcement agencies, civil society institutions became familiar with the legal foundations and practical aspects of the experience of Germany.
At the event, the ex-Minister of Justice of the Federal Republic of Germany Herta Däubler-Gmelin focused on the fact that anti-corruption mechanism of Germany is based on strong legislation, open civil society, public control and freedom of media.
Anti-corruption mechanism of Uzbekistan and Germany were analyzed at the event.
Further improvement of the country’s anti-corruption mechanism was discussed. Reports were heard on parliamentary control and judicial practice in the fight against corruption.
