Namangan region’s khokim Khayrullo Bozorov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Uzbekistan Mehmet Süreyya Er.

At the meeting, it was noted that trade, economic and cultural ties between the two countries are developing at a new level. Information was provided on the economic potential of Namangan region and areas of promising cooperation.

The ambassador noted Turkey’s readiness to send companies in Namangan wishing to cooperate in medical, educational, investment and industrial fields within the framework of the plan for mutual trade volume of five billion dollars outlined by the heads of the two countries.

TİKA Tashkent Program Coordinator Ali İhsan Çağlar announced that the Agency supports projects aimed at developing the socio-economic life of the region.

At the meeting, proposals were forwarded on issues such as establishing direct Namangan – Turkey flight, opening a branch of the Turkish Ziraat Bank in Namangan, and cooperation in the field of football.

Official guests from Turkey visited Namangan State University, the Akhsikent Archaeological Complex, and Ibrat Memorial Complex.
