Tashkent hosted an international conference on "Concept of development of the Advocacy Institute: Uzbekistan and foreign countries’ experience".

The event, organized by the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Ministry of Justice, the United Nations Development Programme, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), was attended by representatives of advocacy associations from more than 20 foreign countries, representative offices of international structures in Uzbekistan, law enforcement agencies, non-governmental non-profit organizations specialized educational institutions, experts.

Issues related to the latest achievements in the legal profession, further development of the sphere were considered at the conference. Experience was exchanged on pressing issues of modern legal education and practice.

Reports of international experts on public administration, ensuring the rule of law, reforming the judicial system, developing the institution of the legal profession were heard. Particular attention was paid to the exchange of experience, information with foreign partners in the sphere of advocacy, the development of normative-legal documents, methodological recommendations. Agreements have been reached on cooperation in these areas.
