Accepting credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to Uzbekistan and wished him success.

Prospects for strengthening and developing relations between Uzbekistan and Brazil in bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations were discussed at the meeting.

The interlocutors spoke in favor of intensifying the dialogue in various spheres, including by resuming the practice of regular inter-MFA political consultations, holding the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic cooperation, establishing direct ties between the business circles of the two countries to expand the range of mutual supplies of goods and services, implementing joint investment projects.

The sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues.
