Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Republic Maria Edera Spadoni, in Rome.

On December 12, 2019, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Republic Maria Edera Spadoni, in Rome.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, prospects of intensifying inter-parliamentary relations, strengthening the legislative framework of Uzbekistan – Italy relations were discussed at the meeting. In this regard, the importance of cooperation within the framework of the parliamentary groups “Uzbekistan – Italy” in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the friendship group “Italy – Uzbekistan” in the Italian Parliament was emphasized. 

The parties considered the participation of observers from Italy in the parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan to be held on December 22 and other current issues on bilateral agenda.
