A meeting with Ivanovo delegation at “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” Association
“Uztuqimachiliksanoat” (Uzbekistan Textile Industry) Association hosted a meeting with the delegation of Ivanovo region. The delegation includes heads of the regional government and a number of enterprises led by the Acting Governor Stanislav Voskresensky.
The purpose of the visit is to facilitate the establishment of direct business contacts between the entrepreneurs of the two countries and to deepen cooperation between enterprises producing textile, clothing and knitwear products, as well as intensifying trade, economic and investment cooperation between the Ivanovo region and Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, issues of the current state and prospects for bilateral cooperation in textile sector were discussed.
Representatives of “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” Association provided information on the current state of Uzbekistan – Russia cooperation. In particular, 8 enterprises of the industry are created in Uzbekistan with participation of Russian capital. The market of the Russian Federation is one of the main markets for textile products. Over 35 trading houses have been created in three regions of Russia, exports to Russia amounted to more than $1.0 billion in 2016-2018.
The parties expressed interest in expanding the supply of Uzbekistan textile products by extending the rules of simplified customs control “green corridor”.
As reported by the Press Service of “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” Association, within the framework of the official visit of the delegation of Ivanovo region to the Republic of Uzbekistan, on August 6, a meeting of the Acting Governor of the region Stanislav Voskresensky with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov was held.
On the same day, the Russian delegation visited the vertically integrated textile company JV LLC Eurotex Global in Tashkent region.
