On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a contest of essays has been conducted among pupils of general education schools in Jizzakh Region on the subject of “The Constitution is the basis of our happiness”.
On 21 October 1989, state language status was given to the Uzbek language as one of the main bulwarks of national values. The law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the state language was adopted. In Article 4 of the country’s Constitution, the Uzbek language’s state language status was enshrined. The Uzbek language became a sacred symbol of this independent country and is protected by law.
A public opinion survey is being conducted among citizens for in-depth study and thorough analysis of the results achieved in 2017 within the framework of implementation of the State program on implementation of the Strategy of actions on five priority directions of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.

Uzbek national traditions and customs will be presented at “O’zbegim” festival of traditional culture, which will be held on September 8 this year in Tashkent. Representatives of the Guinness World Records will attend the festival and observe the preparation of the national dish – pilaf.
In Tashkent, events are taking place on the slogan “My love and devotion to you, my native Uzbekistan”, devoted to the greatest and dearest holiday – the 26th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland.
This contest has been arranged by the regional women’s committee in partnership with the regional departments of the Mahalla (neighbourhood) public charity foundation and the Nuroniy (veteran) foundation.
Meetings of the factions of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy tiklanish”, the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan and the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan were held in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
