Forestry of the Samarkand region have prepared seedlings for the spring planting.

In the years of Independence, for this good tradition, in cities, villages and mahallas, people plant trees in in the surrounding areas in honor of the anniversary of Independence of our Motherland. Currently, the initiative “25 seedlings for the 25th anniversary of the Independence of our Homeland” is implemented in the mahallas, educational and medical institutions of Samarkand region. For this, the required number of seedlings of trees, shrubs and flower seedlings is prepared and harvested by forestry, specialized farms, as well as the population.

4,3 million seedlings of more than 40 types of fruit and decorative trees are already harvested on production territories of the district departments. These days, seedlings of ornamental trees - Crimean pine, chestnut, Japanese Sophora, spruce, poplar and fruit - apple, apricot, cherry, peach and others are supplied to the management of improvement, agricultural companies and farmers, enterprises and organizations under the concluded contracts. In our farms seedlings of medicinal and food plants, basil and flowers have been also prepared. Staff provides farmers and gardeners practical assistance on planting and caring for them.

Currently in dekhkan markets, crowded places, along the major tracks were organized more than 30 mobile units of sale of seedlings.
