The film “In Pursuit of Spring”, directed by Ayub Shahobiddinov, won in the “Best Actress” category at the SCO Film Festival held in China.

Renowned actress Rano Shodiyeva played the leading role in the film.

As part of the film festival, a forum was held dedicated to cooperation among SCO member states in cinematography.

The forum was attended by leaders and specialists from the film industries of the SCO member countries.

Shukhrat Rizayev, Director of the Cinematography Agency, provided detailed information about film projects being implemented in Uzbekistan, the experience of creating joint productions, and plans.

Proposals for strengthening cooperation in cinema, including the joint development of new co-production projects and the systematic organization of such collaboration, were discussed.

Forum participants were also presented with information about a new international film project titled “Wait for Me”, the filming of which is planned for the first time within the framework of cooperation between Uzbekistan and China. This project confirms that cultural ties between the two countries have reached a new level.

Following the forum, the Uzbek side expressed its readiness to create joint film projects and announced its intention to cooperate within the framework of the SCO actively.
