On November 16, an online conference will be held on “The emerging structure of regional security against the backdrop of a growing Asia”, organized by the leading Pakistani Center for Global and Strategic Studies.
The state and prospects of cooperation on the current issues of ensuring security and sustainable development of the vast Asian region, improving the mechanisms of multilateral cooperation in the fight against traditional and non-traditional challenges and threats to security, sharing visions and experience in deepening trans-regional cooperation, including in expansion and development of trade and economic cooperation are planned to be discussed at the event.
The conference is expected to be attended by high-ranking diplomats, generals, representatives of international organizations, prominent scientists and researchers in security and foreign policy. In particular, reports will be made by Pakistan’s former Foreign Minister Riaz Khokhar, Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari, Ambassador, former Pakistani High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit, Ambassador, deputy, member of the National Security and Foreign Relations Committee of the Maldives Mohamed Saeed and others.
The Center for Global and Strategic Studies is Pakistan’s leading research and analytical organization. The Center’s activities are focused on the study and analysis of issues of ensuring national security, political and the socio-economic process at the global and regional levels. ISRS closely cooperates with the CGSS within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding. The parties exchange experts, participate in events organized both in Pakistan and in Uzbekistan.
