The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abat Fayzullayev, presented copies of his credentials to the head of the Protocol Department of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Enno Drofenik, in Vienna.

After the ceremony, a conversation took place with the head of the Department for Eastern Europe, South Caucasia and Central Asia of the Austrian Foreign Ministry, Katharina Wieser, and her deputy, Ambassador of Austria to Uzbekistan with residence in Vienna, Alois Kraut.

The parties discussed the prospects for bringing bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level. It was emphasized that today Uzbekistan – Austrian relations are characterized by positive dynamics. The growing interest of Austrian businesspeople in establishing close contacts with Uzbekistan, including leading companies, was noted. Plans have been outlined to organize visits by representatives of large Austrian companies participating in investment projects being implemented in the country.
