Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan: Inter-Parliamentary cooperation develops
Kyrgyzstan hosted the second meeting of Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Jokorgu Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, in the city of Osh.
The event was attended by members of the commission on inter-parliamentary cooperation, khokims of border areas – Andijan, Fergana and Namangan regions and heads of authorized bodies of Osh, Jalalabad and Botken regions. The current state and prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation was discussed.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on strengthening and further developing cooperation in trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian spheres, effectively using the possibilities of inter-parliamentary commission.
The issue of the upcoming visit of the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Yuldoshev to the Kyrgyz Republic was considered.
Following the event, specific plans and activities on priority areas of cooperation were outlined.
