President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshükür Pashazade, in Baku.
On October 14, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshükür Pashazade, in Baku.
Issues related to further consolidation of interethnic harmony and religious tolerance, expansion of interfaith dialogue, education and spiritual enlightenment of youth were discussed at the meeting.
The President noted with satisfaction the intensifying international cooperation in these areas.
It was emphasized that joint efforts will help to effectively counter the current challenges and threats, promote internationally the genuine values and truly humanistic essence of the holy religion of Islam.
The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, in turn, underscored the importance of Uzbekistan President’s initiatives and noted the effectiveness of the steps taken to study and preserve the rich heritage of the Islamic world.
In addition, Allahshükür Pashazade expressed willingness to continue the active dialogue and cooperation designed to secure peace, harmony, stability and prosperity in the two countries and the entire region.
