Press briefing on the President’s state visit to India

As previously reported, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of India Ram Nath Kovind, arrived in India with a state visit.

Deputy Head of the President’s Administration, Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Komil Allamjonov briefed media representatives on the results of the first day of the visit.
The Press Secretary informed about the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the ancient India’s capital Agra and acquaintance with the world-famous architectural monument Taj Mahal. Information was presented about the forthcoming meeting with the leaders of leading Indian companies in New Delhi.
The main events of the visit will be held on October 1. Representatives of the mass media became familiar with the agenda of meetings and negotiations of the President of Uzbekistan.
Following the visit, it is planned to sign contracts worth more than $3 billion.
It should be noted that the visit of the President of Uzbekistan is assessed by political and business circles, the general public of India as an important event in socio-political life of the two countries.
