On August 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Navruz Park in Tashkent.
In accordance with the resolution of the Head of the state of August 7, 2017, necessary financial and organizational measures were determined, and Navruz Bog’i LLC was created.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a visit to the construction site in February last year, gave recommendations for enriching its content.
The culture and national traditions of our people are reflected in the new park: a whole ethnographic town was erected on an area of 2.5 hectares. There are streets named after Karakalpakstan and all regions of the country, with houses in the old style, which display unique customs, crafts and lifestyles inherent in each region.
Ancient makhallas appear in the image of courtyards with mud walls, terraces, teahouses and workshops. All this is a source of enriching the knowledge of young people about history and national culture, increasing the feeling of patriotism, as well as a sight that attracts foreign tourists.
“This place has a very important role in terms of formation of self-awareness”, the President emphasized. – National values and our history are clearly embodied here. People, deeply aware of their history, are proud, powerful and rich people.
The Head of the state noted that the park should attract visitors not only during the Navruz celebrations, but all year round, and visitors should not only have a cultural rest, but also receive spiritual food.
An amphitheater has been erected in the center of this new colorful town for celebrations on the occasion of Navruz holiday. A bridge 88 meters long has been erected over the canal flowing through the park.
