On April 13, 2016, in Tashkent, within the framework of the meeting of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the SCO Member States, Secretary of Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan V. Makhmudov met with a member of the State Council, the Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China Guo Shengkun.

On April 13, 2016, in Tashkent, within the framework of the meeting of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the SCO Member States, Secretary of Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan V. Makhmudov met with a member of the State Council, the Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China Guo Shengkun.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the topical issues of the Uzbek-Chinese relations, including the state and prospects of cooperation within the SCO. The Chinese side highly appreciated the presidency of Uzbekistan in the SCO, which is aimed at resolving practical issues of further development of cooperation between the Member States, in particular in the field of regional security.

It was noted the mutual interest in the successful conduct of the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of States in Tashkent and other events of the Uzbek presidency.
