Meeting of working groups of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan
In accordance with the schedule approved by the governments of the two countries, regular negotiations of the working groups of the Governmental delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on the issues of delimitation and demarcation of the State border were held in Osh (Kyrgyzstan) on July 9-15, 2018.
In accordance with the schedule approved by the governments of the two countries, regular negotiations of the working groups of the Governmental delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on the issues of delimitation and demarcation of the State border were held in Osh (Kyrgyzstan) on July 9-15, 2018.
During the negotiations, the results of joint field surveys conducted on July 2-7, 2018 at the sites located in Namangan and Fergana regions of Uzbekistan on the bias of Batken and Jalalabad regions of Kyrgyzstan were considered.
Based on the results of the joint field surveys, the passage of the borderline along two sections, including the section of Gava and partially along the Gavasai was determined.
As a result of the negotiations, a relevant Protocol was signed.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was held in the spirit of friendship and good-neighborliness.
