A presentation dedicated to the results of the XIX National Congress of the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China was held in Tashkent.

The event organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in our country with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan was attended by members of the Senate, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of ministries and departments, professors and teachers of higher educational institutions, representatives of political parties, international organizations and diplomatic corps, members of the delegation of the People’s Republic of China, the mass media employees.

On October 18-24 this year, the XIX National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held. Xi Jinping was re-elected to the position of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party. The results of the congress, which has determined the path of China’s development for the next five years, good-neighborly relations, in particular, the prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation based on trust with Uzbekistan were discussed at the event.

China is one of the strategic partners of Uzbekistan. Relations between our countries are actively developing in all spheres. Close international cooperation in political, social, economic and cultural spheres is further developing within the framework of implementation of tasks outlined in the Strategy of actions on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, which is developed under the leadership of the President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Meetings of the heads of the two states serve the development of mutually beneficial partnership.

At the event, it was noted that the issue of development of good-neighborly relations is defined as the main direction of foreign policy in the Strategy of actions on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, as well as in the five-year prospects of development of the People’s Republic of China. This will serve the implementation of mutually beneficial investment and trade-economic projects, strengthening security and stability in the region.
