Celebrations of the 19th anniversary of independence of Uzbekistan were held on 31 August at Alisher Navoi National Park in Tashkent.
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov visited Bukhara on 30 August, where he got acquainted with the newly built Bukhoro Madaniy Markazi (Bukhara Cultural Center) complex.
On 29 August, President Islam Karimov familiarized himself with the educational establishment commissioned in Tashkent on the eve of the Independence Day of Uzbekistan.
