Young mathematicians win International Mathematics Competition
At the International Mathematics Competition in the city of Durban (South Africa), 8 members of Uzbekistan national team made a symbolic gift for the 28th anniversary of independence of Uzbekistan. In individual competitions they won 1 gold, 1 silver, 4 bronze medals and 2 certificates of honor, and in team competitions – 8 bronze medals.
Winners were solemnly welcomed by representatives of the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, public figures, parents and youth at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.
More than 500 gifted students from 41 countries took part in the International Mathematics Competition. They competed in solving complex and non-standard problems in combinatorics, number theory, geometry.
