Uzbekistan team takes part in the 16th International Zhautykov Olympiad in mathematics, physics and computer science, in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The Olympiad, which enjoys high authority on a global scale, has been held at the Republican Physics and Mathematics School in Almaty since 2005. IZHO is a grand international project in mathematics, physics and computer science and gathers specialized teams of schools from different countries. This Olympiad makes it possible to identify the best STEM-schools.
Uzbekistan national team has been participating in these intellectual competitions since 2006. During this time, the country’s students won more than 50 medals.
At last year’s Olympiad, which was attended by 540 students from 18 countries, students from Uzbekistan won 1 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze medals.
