TUIT wins Academic Innovation Support Fund’s grant
Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi (TUIT) won the competition for a grant from Academic Innovation Support Fund under the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the grant was awarded to “Transfer of the U.S. master’s education technologies to TUIT” program. It aims to introduce advanced technologies in TUIT for undergraduate students at U.S. universities.
The amount of the project is 140 thousand USD. These funds will be used to purchase new equipment, create financial lab, implement multimedia training program and distance training system for undergraduates.
The grant competition, announced by Academic Innovation Support Fund, is held within the framework of the project aimed at modernization of Uzbekistan’s higher education system, on the basis of cooperation between the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan and the World Bank.
