Training in entrepreneurial activity
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan hosted a roundtable discussion on issues of improving training the basics of entrepreneurial activity in the regions.
At the event, organized by the Republican Center for Training the Basics of Entrepreneurial Activity at the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Assistance to Privatized Enterprises and Development of Competition together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other organizations, attention was paid to the results of activities carried out on attracting people to entrepreneurship.
The Republican Center for Training the Basics of Entrepreneurial Activity, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, Uzbekistan Youth Union, “Norma” Professional Development Center provide free courses for citizens wishing to start an entrepreneurial activity on the basis of vocational colleges in the city of Tashkent and regions. Distance education of unemployed population plays an important role in this. For example, in the past period of this year, online training was held, 525 listeners received certificates.
– Over the past period of this year, we organized 461 free training courses, – says U.Kamoliddinov, Director of the Republican Center for Training the Basics of Entrepreneurial Activity. – 8685 representatives of business entities and the population were trained in these courses, 7263 of them received certificates. The analysis shows that 768 students who have completed the courses have already started an entrepreneurial activity, 331 students have expanded their business. As a result, more than 1466 new jobs were created.
It was emphasized that for beginning and further development of business activity, students received bank loans in the amount of 9.6 billion sums.
