Tashkent branch of NRNU MEPhI to train highly qualified specialists
A branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) began its activities in Tashkent.
The solemn event, organized in this regard, was attended by senior officials of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, senators and deputies, members of the government, representatives of ministries and agencies, public organizations, domestic and Russia’s nuclear experts.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Aripov, Director General of Rosatom A. Likhachev expressed confidence that the opening of a branch of this university in Tashkent will contribute to training highly qualified specialists in the field, who will conduct research in the future, and wished students success in their studies.
The branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI was organized under the agreement of Presidents of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation on implementation of the project for construction of nuclear power plants in the country.
At the NRNU MEPhI branch, students will study on the basis of the best modern programs. Graduates will be given diplomas recognized in Uzbekistan and abroad.
Along with Uzbekistan specialists, qualified teachers from leading higher education institutions of Russia and abroad will also teach students at the university branch.
In the current academic year, 100 young girls and boys have been admitted to this higher education institution on the basis of a state grant.
