In our country, science and education are consistently developed. Youth of Uzbekistan, studying in modern educational institutions are actively involved in various international contests, Olympiads, competitions and festivals, surprising the world community by its high intellectual potential and abilities. Vivid proof of this fact is the successful participation of young people of Uzbekistan in the International Mathematical Olympiad held in Cyprus.

These intellectual competitions, organized by the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture of and the Cyprus Mathematical Society (CMS) and the Mathematical Society of South Eastern Europe(MASSEE), was attended by more than 150 gifted students 43 university teams from more than 20 countries.

At the competition, students of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of National University of Uzbekistan Hakimboy Egamberganov and Shohruh Ibragimov won gold medals, and Mirmuhsin Mahmudov was awarded with a special diploma.

At the event, the winners and prize-winners were awarded with diplomas.
