An international conference dedicated to issues of training highly qualified engineering and technical personnel for the oil and gas industry of our country was held in Tashkent.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “Uzbekneftgaz” national holding company, “Lukoil” company (Russia), Tashkent branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.Gubkin.

The conference was attended by officials of relevant ministries and departments, teachers of higher educational institutions, representatives of the diplomatic corps and foreign companies, specialists in the oil and gas, energy, construction industries and the sphere of information-communication technologies.

This traditional conference is aimed at development of cooperation between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and foreign universities. The conference provides an opportunity to study today’s requirements, identify main approaches in personnel policy together with international companies.

The “Lukoil” company has been operating for many years in the market of Uzbekistan, participating in a number of investment projects on exploration and development of promising fields, deep processing of hydrocarbon raw materials.

“Shurtangazkimyo” complex, as well as a number of foreign companies and institutions of higher education were awarded by Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company for their contribution to the development of cooperation in the sphere of training highly qualified personnel.

Within the framework of the event, a trilateral agreement on cooperation was signed between the Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company, Tashkent branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.Gubkin and “Bashneftekhim” educational center.
