On July 12, 2018, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdujabar Abduvakhitov met with the Vice-Rector of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) for General Affairs and Corporate Relations Artem Malgin, in Moscow.

Practical issues concerning the opening of MGIMO branch in Tashkent were discussed. In particular, directions of training in this branch, issues of providing highly qualified specialists in prospective spheres – international relations, business, congress-exhibition activities and tourism were considered.

On the same day, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdujabar Abduvakhitov and Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov attended the closing ceremony of the two-week MGIMO education program on “International journalism, cultural diplomacy and public relations” for students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

On the last day of courses, Russia’s Special Presidential Envoy for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy and presenter of “Good Morning” program of the first channel Dilbar Fayziyeva addressed the event.

Following the courses, 28 participants of the program successfully defended their presentations as a final certification and received MGIMO certificates.
