Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia organized a visit of Joseph Adaikalam, the Executive Chairman of Binary University of Management and Entrepreneurship to Khorezm region.

Binary University, established in 1984, is one of the most established and respected university for management, IT and entrepreneurship education in Asia. In March 2019, Uzbekistan – Malaysia faculty was opened at Tashkent Financial Institute.

During the visit of the Malaysian delegation, meetings were held with the khokim of Khorezm region Farkhod Ermanov and Rector of Urgench State University Bakhrom Abdullayev. The parties discussed in detail the mechanisms for implementing the educational project on creating a branch of the Malaysian University in Urgench.

Following the negotiations, agreements were reached on creation of a joint faculty at Urgench State University with further consideration of the possibility of opening a Binary branch in Urgench. An agreement on partnership cooperation was signed between the Khokimiyat of Khorezm region and the Malaysian University.
