Uzbekistan celebrates the 90th anniversary of Young Spectator’s Theatre
International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People ASSITEJ was organized in 2018 on the basis of the State Young Spectator’s Theatre of Uzbekistan. It plays an important role in international promotion of theatrical groups, creating performances for young spectators. According to tradition, the next conference of this international organization is held in Uzbekistan that has recently joined its ranks.
In this regard, on February 15-18, Uzbekistan will celebrate the 90th anniversary of the State Young Spectator’s Theatre of Uzbekistan and hold ASSITEJ – Asia 2019 conference, in Tashkent. Within the framework of the conference, performances for children will be shown, workshops and negotiations on current issues will be held.
According to theater critics, this event will become a historic event in the life of children’s theaters and will provide an opportunity for development of international relations and active participation in international festivals and forums. Participation of representatives from China, South Korea, Japan, India, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Georgia, Israel, Russia, Pakistan and other countries is envisaged in ASSITEJ – Asia 2019 conference. This international forum will serve to further improving activities of children’s theaters and opening new prospects for cooperation in the sphere.
