Literary dialogues continue
Delegation of 20 ethnic Uzbeks living in Afghanistan arrived in Uzbekistan Writers Union. Members of the delegation from among poets and writers became familiar with the literary process and the attention paid to development of word art in the country.
The guests arrived in Uzbekistan in connection with the anniversaries of Alisher Navoi’s and Babur’s birth. During the visit, they are attending conferences dedicated to their work, roundtable discussions, poetry competitions, and literary dialogues.
As it became clear from the conversation, after long negotiations with the government, October 21 was declared the Uzbek Language Day in Afghanistan.
In addition, in Afghanistan it is planned to translate works of Uzbek literature of the twentieth century into the Afghan language, based on Arabic script.
