Jizzakh hosts Korean Culture Festival
Korea Festival 2018 is being held in Jizzakh.
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea Kwon Yong-woo. At the meeting with the khokim of the region, the closeness of traditions and cultures of the two countries was emphasized. It was noted that holding this festival will contribute to further strengthening cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Korean people.
Within the framework of the festival, a drawing contest on “Uzbekistan – Korean friendship” was held among primary school students. Authors of the best drawings about friendship, peace and Homeland were awarded with memorable gifts from the regional khokimiyat and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
The opening ceremony of Korean films festival took place in Jizzakh Regional Musical Drama Theater. Such films as “Amazing Dream”, “Veteran”, “Kim Seon-dal: The Man Who Sells the River” will be presented at the festival.
“JUMP” group, “Koryo” ensemble of the Association of Korean Cultural Centers of Uzbekistan presented their performances, which combined elements of traditional Korean martial arts and modern dances.
