Only a few days left before the International Handicrafters Festival, which will be held for the first time on September 10-15 this year in Kokand.

At the press conference on preparations for the festival, the Chairman of Hunarmand Association of Uzbekistan U. Abdullayev, khokim of the city of Kokand M. Usmonov provided journalists with detailed information about implemented activities.

To date, the process of registering participants of the festival through the website has been completed. As of August 20 of the current year, 299 guests from 75 countries were registered, including 199 artisans in 29 areas from 70 countries, 30 scientists from 24 countries, 35 high-ranking guests – heads of partner organizations from 14 countries, 20 media workers from 12 countries.

A list of 1116 artisans was formed in 29 areas of folk art from 153 districts of the country and 87 organizations to attend the festival.

According to the program of the festival, foreign guests and participants will visit 12 objects of cultural heritage, over 20 workshops of masters of Kokand national handicraft, 4 spiritual and enlightenment institutions for recreation and markets.
