Have you ever heard of dinosaur footprints in Shakhrisabz?
They were found in 1956 by a geologist/paleontologist Kurbatov, near Tashkurgan village.
These footsteps are one-meter-long. According to scientists they lived 30 million years ago in Hissar mountains.
Of course, such interesting information is of great importance in attracting tourists to the country. That’s why special attention to this is paid in the program on new tourism destinations and facilities in Kashkadarya region.
For example, Gilan and Ko’l ethno villages, located in the far mountains, have a unique nature. The 100-year old mill of Choykhur Qurbonali, Afrosiyob cave and Khazrati Sulton ota are interesting for many visitors. It is planned to organize guest houses and develop mountaineering in Shirdoq and Ko’l canyons here.
The Sahibkiran Temur cave may also be used to develop extreme tourism.
If to look at the map of the region, there are many such natural miracles and eco-resorts in each region. It is planned to implement 72 projects aimed at further development of tourism potential and infrastructure of the region in 2019-2020. Construction of 15 hotels, 40 guest houses and yurts, purchasing seven vehicles for tourism purposes are among them.
Participants of the info tour are becoming acquainted with conditions and opportunities created in the hotels and guest houses, and the created infrastructure in Shakhrisabz.
