Hunarmand Association held a meeting with artisans who took part in the 34th Surajkund Mela International Crafts Festival held on February 1-16 in the Indian state of Haryana.

The festival was attended by guests from 60 countries. This year, Uzbekistan participated in this prestigious event as a partner state. Artisans of the country widely demonstrated the achievements of the national art, folklore and the tourism attractiveness of the country.

The guests were impressed by the samples of national embroidery, costumes made of silk, adras and velvet, accessories, ceramic products, carpets, wood carvings, and miniature art.

The President of India Ram Nath Kovind took part in the opening ceremony of the festival and got acquainted with Uzbek artisans’ products.

Master of embroidery from Navoi Feruza Omonova and an artisan from Fergana Yusufjon Mamayusupov won the festival cup.
