Chairman of the Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan elected Chairman of the International Committee on Hilal Star standard
Baku hosted the World Islamic Culinary Congress.
The event was attended by heads of the Association of Cooks of more than 25 countries such as Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Russia, Cyprus, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Romania, Kabardino-Balkaria, Dagestan, Iran, Chechen Republic, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Bangladesh and others.
The second international scientific-practical conference, organized by the World Islamic Culinary Society (WICS), was held within the framework of the Congress. The event focused on the use of Hilal Star standard (New Crescent), which is provided to the best restaurants and chefs in preparation of Islamic dishes.
The Associations of Cooks from 25 countries presented their standards and projects for halal restaurants and chefs of halal dishes.
Uzbekistan’s delegation was led by the Chairman of the Association of Cooks Umarov A.H. and Director of the International Center of Uzbekistan Culinary Art Umarov N.R. Presentation of the Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan on the project made a big impression on participants. In this connection, the Chairman of the Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan Akbar Umarov was elected the new Chairman of the International Committee on Hilal Star standard.
Halal food exhibition and a championship in preparation of halal dishes were also held within the framework of the event.
