Young musicians perform successfully in Italy

Two young representatives of Uzbekistan won the first and the third places at the international music festival of percussion instruments held on 8-12 September in Italy.

They are the ninth-grade students of the specialized music and arts school under the Public education ministry Shomun Usubjanov and Jahongir Fayzullayev.

“I am proud that my son won the festival, where musicians from more than 50 states participated,” Shomun’s mother Yorqinoy Askarova said.

The winners were greeted at a special ceremony with participation of the public education minister Ghairat Shoumarov, who congratulated the students.

The specialized school provides education to more than 1,000 students.
